I’ve been experimenting with different propagation techniques in our nursery, and I’m curious to hear what everyone else is using. For example, I’ve had great success with stem cuttings for certain species but struggled with others. What methods have you found to be the most effective, especially in terms of inventory management?
I’ve had similar success with stem cuttings, especially in spring when plants are actively growing. Using a humidity dome has really helped maintain moisture and speed up rooting for me. Have you thought about using bottom heat for those trickier species?
It’s interesting how some plants just seem to have a stubborn streak when it comes to cuttings. I’ve found that using a good rooting hormone can really make a difference in success rates, especially for trickier species. Have you tried that yet, or do you stick to more natural methods?
I’ve had good luck with soaking seeds overnight before sowing them, especially for tougher-to-propagate species. It really seems to speed up germination. Have you tried that method, and if so, how did it work for you?
